From Mr Campbell Bannerman's assistant:
Per our previous conversation, I can confirm we have now emailed the Minister of State for Defence Mark Francois MP to alert him to this issue
I followed up with the MOD, who have now informed me that Lord Astor (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State and the Lords Spokesman on Defence) is dealing with this specifically and his office will ensure either his Lordship or one of his Ministerial colleagues shall review this case urgently.
I have made the MOD aware of the time sensitivities of this issue that the HMS Plymouth could be scrapped at any moment over the next two days.
We have also written to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Sajid Javid MP to ask for support on this issue.

Our media contacts in MIP and our press office in the ECR Group have also been distributing a press release regarding your efforts to save the vessel.
